The launch of HEAT allows the Service member to tap into their DEERS record, creating an easy user experience. Housing Early Assistance Tool (HEAT) allows Service members and their spouses to contact housing at one or more locations before or after they receive their PCS orders. Fax, email or mail any changes or modifications to your orders or family composition as soon as possible.If you were in government quarters after your detachment date, your control date for housing at New London will remain the date you detached provided you checked in with the HSC within 30 days of the report date on your orders. Failure to go to the HSC within the 30-day timeframe will result in your control date becoming the date you walk into the office. You must check in with the HSC within 30 days of the report date on your orders to obtain your detachment date as your control date.You will also receive notification once your package has been referred over to the public/private venture. You will receive notification via phone or email that your package was received and which waitlist you are on. The HSC will review your package, qualify you for your bedroom entitlement and place you on the appropriate waitlist. You may fax, email or mail the above to the Housing Service Center once orders are received.The DD 1746, Information Release form, Additional Information form, SOD and CME documents may be found at the Housing Office website for SUBASE New London.An application package consists of: Housing Application DD 1746, Sex Offender Disclosure form, Courtesy Move Entitlement form, a copy of the permanent change of station order and a copy of your current Record of Emergency Data (NAVPERS 1070/602, DD Form 93 or CG-4107A), which lists your legal dependents.A housing counselor will contact you to answer questions and help you begin the application process.
